The new MSBA list is released on April 1st every year.
Librarians and educators are not required or expected to purchase every book on the list to participate in the voting program. In the application, you will have the option to select which books you have in your collection. Due to the diversity in age range and topics, librarians and educators should follow their school's collection development policies and guidelines when considering which titles to purchase for their library/classroom.
